Loving the new work by Nat Meade. Quiet, faded vaguely sad people caught in stilted frames of action.

Claire Sherman
Saw Claire Sherman‘s work at MWS as well, and was also incredibly smitten. Its like dilapidation but feels airy, like… maybe that dapple thing of sun through trees but someone falling in a tangle.. And then there was that acid yellow green flat smear out of nowhere!
scott goodman
Scott Goodman paints on plywood, and lets the tree show through. And shows that a quiet alien visitor would be wilded by young girls with tennis rackets. And stuff.
vince contarino
I dig Vince Contarino‘s wabi-sabi paintings. They seem to hang suspended somewhere between object and landscape. Well, no. More like scraps of landscapes and objects blown up in the air by a gritty wind.

Jacob Feige at Lombard-Freid Projects. There is a painting I saw a few years ago in Chelsea that is really ringing bells for me, but I can’t find it anywhere, though I know I blogged it!
