I like where Peter Segerstrom has gone with Land, Sea, Air. A few years ago, he stuck an ipod with a little speaker in a coffee cup playing seagull sounds, and threw it in a gutter. Some guy cleaned it away.
He has stuck with that idea, of bringing the Ocean to ignoble places, and 2 years later, it really seems to be working.
This is a good lesson for me, who feels an entire body of work is done once I’ve done it once, (like, plywood tree was not followed by plywood bush, plywood bunny, plywood underwear…) and who has become so damn literal. I need to escape the one-to-one.
It’s good to see a simple concept continued to be developed over years.
