John Ewing and I had quite a time out in Westport enacting solutions for Ghana ThinkTank, Westport, which is part of the Westport Art Center’s Optimism show (curated by Michael Connor).

We attended the Westport Town Council Meeting (RTM), and made some great contacts who are eager to help us get an agenda item on the next meeting related to pesticides and dandelions (Mexico’s solution). We ran a guerilla public slideshow (Serbia’s solution) of accidents caused by speeding traffic in Westport on the outside walls along the speedingly-infamous rt 33, and had to power the projector with electricity from the Pizza shop, as our car converter couldn’t handle the watts. And we distributed shoes (El Salvador’s solution) and mp3 players (Serbia’s solution) to neighbors of a barking dog.

Some very very, very mixed reactions, from mirth to suspicion to pity to excitement, though not necessarily in that order. We got most of it on video, so you’ll be able to see it at the show soon!

Then we watched the debates from 4 brothers pizza and drove home.
