some photos from my weekend hike of Half Dome with Grace and Jamie. We entered at Lake Tenaya, camped at Cloud Rest, up Half Dome, and out at Yosemite Valley, the disney land mele of tourists! You can see the cables that we used to lug ourselves up the hill in the fourth and fifth shots.

Nice pictures. Very nice light. You must have gotten up early to see the cables in such an uncrowded state. Much nicer that way, that’s for sure.

We got to the base around 8AM on a Sunday, and I’d say 20-30 people had passed us coming down from their already finished climb on the path to the base, so we weren’t as early as we thought! It would have been pretty awful stuck behind a chain of people in the hot hot sun with no cover if we’d done it later, for sure.
