Maybe some people call it a deeper calling and I call it stuff I really want to do because I am always skeptical of my own motives.

Or maybe I am just shallower than most.

But if Art is a losing prospect, then you do it because you love it or because you need to. Perhaps the difference is really want to vs. need to. But, there again comes my skepticism, because I truly believe nobody needs to do anything beyond eat or take a dump.

Beyond that, need is unquestioned melodrama.

    I just keep thinking of a mountain. I don’t need to hike them, but I love to, and I love them, from far away and from the act of, and hiking them is good for me in so many ways, and if somebody would pay me to hike them that would be nice.
